Experience the magic of the season at The Peak of Christmas on Grouse Mountain. Come see how the Elves have transformed Grouse Mountain into a North Pole Experience.

Enjoy fun family-friendly activities in the Chalet and watch classic Christmas movies on the big screen in the mountaintop theatre. Or head outside go for a mountaintop sleigh ride or bring your skates and enjoy the outdoor skating pond. Skate rentals are available.

The family rate for Peak of Christmas festivities includes admission for 2 adults and 2 children/youth (under 19) for $89.95.

Peak of Christmas Highlights:

Santa’s Workshop: Meet Santa in person to share those holiday wishes. (12pm-8pm weekdays, 11am-8pm weekends, except Dec. 24: 11am-4pm)

 

Light Walk: Be awestruck by the glow of light against a majestic mountain backdrop. Walk among the fir and spruce around Blue Grouse Lake where stunning light installations bring radiance to the winter night. From a light tunnel to lanterns, marvel at the beauty as snow crunches under foot. (dusk-10pm daily, except Dec. 24: dusk-6pm & Christmas Day: dusk-8pm)

 

Sliding Zone: Get your sled rental* and…slide! It’s the Sliding Zone, providing designated lanes and groomed terrain perfect for sliding. Whoosh! Perfect for the child in all of us. Snow level and weather permitting. (noon-8pm daily, except Dec. 24: 10am-6pm & Christmas Day: 10am-8pm) *Note: For safety reasons, only Grouse Mountain rental sleds will be permitted in the Sliding Zone.

 

Sleigh Rides: Embark on a magical ride through our Winter Wonderland. Snow level and weather permitting. (9am-9pm daily, except: Dec. 24: 9am-6pm & Christmas Day: 9am-8pm)

 

Skate under the Stars: Enjoy the crisp mountain air as you glide atop our magical 8,000 square foot skating pond. Skates available for rent at the Fireside Hut, next to the Skate Pond. (9am-10pm daily, except Dec. 24: 9am-6pm & Christmas Day: 9am-8pm)

 

Gingerbread Village: Stroll through the impressive Gingerbread Village and vote for your favourite creation, all in support of BC Children’s Hospital. (10am-10pm daily, except Dec. 24: 10am-5:30pm & Christmas Day: 10am-8pm)

 

Santa’s Reindeer: Meet Santa’s reindeer in the Reindeer Habitat next to Santa’s Workshop. (9am-10pm daily, except Dec. 24: 9am-6pm & Christmas Day: 9am-8pm)

 

Reindeer Ranger Talks: Learn all about Santa’s reindeer at the Reindeer Habitat. (12pm, 3pm)   Story Time: Warm your heart with stories of Christmas. Located in Elf Headquarters on the main floor of the Chalet. (times to be announced)

 

Craft Station: Create your own Peak of Christmas memory to bring home. Located in Elf Headquarters. (11am-7pm, except Dec. 24 & Christmas Day: 11am-4pm)

 

Send a letter to Santa: Share your holiday wishes with the big guy in a proper letter. Located in Elf Headquarters. (9:30am-9pm daily, except Dec. 24: 9:30am-5:30pm)

 

Are You Elf-Sized? Find out how you measure up to height of a real Christmas elf! Located in Elf Headquarters. (9:30am-9pm daily, except Dec. 24: 9:30am-5:30pm & Christmas Day: 9:30am-8pm)

 

Santa’s Sleigh: Take a picture sitting in Santa’s very own sleigh! Located in Elf Headquarters (9:30am-9pm daily, except Dec. 24: 9:30am-5:30pm & Christmas Day: 9:30am-8pm)

 

Christmas Favourites: Watch fun, family Christmas movies on the big screen in the Theatre in the Sky. (9:30am-9pm daily except Dec. 24: 9:30am-5pm & Christmas Day: 9:30am-8pm)

Breakfast with Santa

Want to make the day unforgettable? Start your day of festive fun by treating your family to breakfast with the jolly man himself, which takes place in December. Check dates and book early, as this event sells out every year.

Getting to Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is an easy 20 minute drive from downtown Vancouver, located in the district of North Vancouver.

Note: There is a construction project on Capilano Road, and there is a detour in place. Follow the signs.

Public Transit:
The public transit system offers regular service to the base of Grouse Mountain every half hour. Catch Bus 232 from Phibbs Exchange or Bus 236 from Lonsdale Quay. For more schedules and info visit the TransLink website.
