Caribbean Days Festival
Each July, the Caribbean Days Festival is celebrated in North Vancouver at Waterfront Park.
The 2017 Festival takes place on July 29 and 30th.
Caribbean Days is a weekend festival includes parades, dining, dancing and entertainment. Get ready to soak up some tropical rhythm, culture and food. This festival is one of the largest cultural events in British Columbia.
Multicultural Street Parade
The streets of North Vancouver come alive with the sights and sounds of Carnival during the Multicultural Street Parade. Parade onlookers will enjoy spectacular costumes, Caribbean style and culture. The parade starts at 10am.
Caribbean Days Festival
Waterfront Park, North Vancouver
Waterfront Park is home to the Caribbean Days Festival. Come and enjoy live entertainment, an international food fair and a craft market. If you are looking to sample some a tastes of the Caribbean you are likely to find Roti, Jerk chicken and other tasty treats. The main stage at Waterfront Park hosts a lineup of bands playing Reggae, Calypso, as well as other international music. There will also be singers, dancers and other cultural performers. There is a family zone with face painting and other activities.

Getting to the Festival
Waterfront Park is located on the 200-block of West Esplanade, North Vancouver.
If you are taking public transit to the festival, Waterfront Park is conveniently located next to Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus terminal. From downtown take the Seabus from Waterfront Station to Lonsdale Quay. Exit the Seabus Terminal or bus loop and follow the signs to your left (west) to Waterfront Park.
If you are driving there is free parking in the ICBC parkade on the weekends. The ICBC lot located adjacent to the Lonsdale Market, you can enter off Rogers Avenue and Carrie Cates Court.
- The RCMP will start implementing full closure by 9am and opens the road by 12 noon.
- Lonsdale Quay Market Parking lot will not be available for incoming traffic, customers may exit using Carrie Cates Crt then right on to Esplanade or Victory Shipway, then onto St. Georges during this time.
- Buses coming out from the bus loop at the Quay takes Carrie Cates, Lonsdale, then right onto Esplanade.
- Please note the dance will be held at the south plaza this year.
