29mar7:00 pm9:00 pmA Journey from Antiquity to the Ottoman Empire in Turkey

Event Details

Go for a fantastic audio-visual journey through Turkey. Internationally renowned photographer Peter Langer has just returned from an in-depth journey through Turkey in 2015 & 2016. Turkey is the only country in the world that has an eclectic mix of European, Asian and Middle Eastern cultures. This journey captures the essence of Turkish culture and heritage: a delightful blend of art and ancient architecture. As we explore these historic lands, we can see why the country has so many UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Through this lecture you will come to appreciate the historical significance Turkey has played to world civilization. Starting in cosmopolitan Istanbul; explore the ancient site of Pergamon and white marble streets of Greco-Roman Ephesus; and continue to the unique landscapes and cave dwellings of Cappadocia’s enchanting valleys.
