Event Details

RIDE ON Provincial Series events are presented by BC Snowboard. These events bring together competitive provincially registered athletes from Western Canada to compete in 2 Slopestyle events over 2 days. The 2 Slopestyle events are part of the RIDE ON Provincial Snowboard Series.  Results receive points for overall RIDE ON Provincial Series Champions in all categories.

Registration Deadline

Online registration will close February 14, 2019 ~ Onsite registration closes at 3:00pm on February 15, 2019

Registration Fees

  • $50 for each competition day (online registration)
  • $60 for each competition day (onsite registration)

Eligibility ~ Athletes must have current Advanced BC Snowboard membership or other reciprocal Provincial or Territorial membership. Open to out of country athletes with proof of membership and medical insurance or FIS license. FIS license required for FIS event.

Athlete Sign In | Waivers ~ All participating athletes are required to Sign In at the Event Office in THE HUT, to confirm registration and to complete mandatory Mt Seymour Special Event Waivers. Note: Mt Seymour Special Event Waivers must be signed in person by participant and, if required, by parent or legal guardian (coach) for athletes under 19. Contact Cathy at bcsnow@telus.net if special arrangements need to be made.

CANADIAN COACH REGISTRATION

All Canadian Coaches coaching at events MUST register and meet the Canadian Minimum Coach Certification Standards. To ensure you understand the certification requirements, review the Coach Minimum Standards Policy.

LIFT TICKETS

Lift Tickets – Athletes

Athletes receive discount vouchers during registration in THE HUT for competition days only (Feb 16 and Feb 17). Lift tickets can then be purchased at Guest Services with the voucher.

Lift Tickets – Coaches

Complimentary coach lift tickets are provided for competition days ONLY based on athlete/coach ratio- 5:1. Coaches with less than 5 athletes will be provided with discount voucher. All participating Coaches are required to Sign In at the Event Office (THE HUT), to confirm attendance and to complete mandatory Mt Seymour Special Event Waivers.

SANCTION & RULES

The competitions are sanctioned by Canada Snowboard, FIS and BC Snowboard. Competitions are run in accordance with FIS rules. Certified helmets are mandatory for all training & competition (FIS Rule 2010.6).

EVENT FORMAT

Qualification: Best of 2 runs (Male / Female)

Finals: Best of 2 runs (Male / Female)

Events are judged overall.  Overall Results are also sorted for recognition after Finals into: Male / Female: U13 | U15 | U19 | 19+ ~ Age as of December 31, 2018. ~ Age groups may be combined if less than 3 athletes in an age group.

VOLUNTEERS

If you are interested in being part of the team as a volunteer, contact the organizing committee at bcsnow@telus.net – provide your experience and choice of position (indoor or outdoor). NOTE: All Volunteers and Officials on site will need to be members of their Provincial or Territorial Snowboard Association and be at a minimum Snowboard Official Level 1. BC Snowboard will assist you with any volunteer/officials membership fees payable.
