20jun7:00 pm- 9:00 pmInfluence and Inspiration: A Poetry Workshop with Sheryda Warrener

Event Details

“Under each picture there is always another picture,” wrote historian and art critic Douglas Crimp. Workshop participants will reflect on the current Art School High exhibit, generating original material through a series of generative writing prompts based on mash-up methodologies. At play with memories of lived high school experiences – as well as notions of originality, identity, influence and imitation – we will write in the space of the gallery in direct response to the images on display. Open to both emerging and established writers in the community!

Tickets $10 online, or $15 at the door
