Published: June 18, 2010
Who needs a tropical vacation when Caribbean Days Festival is jamming on!
North Vancouver, BC - Each July, the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC presents Caribbean Days Festival. This event draws a fun-loving crowd to North Vancouver for a weekend of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture as only the Caribbean can offer.
2010 marks the 23rd annual Festival-a mainstay in the local summer calendar. Over the years, the Festival has grown into the largest cultural event of its type in BC, with close to 50,000 visits over the weekend, including viewers of its Carnival-flavoured Multicultural Street Parade.
The setting is North Vancouver's Waterfront Park, a large green space with a picturesque view of the Vancouver skyline.
The presentations at the Park are free to the public, open to all ages, wheelchair accessible and close to public transportation including the Seabus terminal at Lonsdale Quay, only one block away.
