5th Annual Party-At-The-Pier

North Vancouver, BC: The Lower Lonsdale Business Association presents North Vancouver's 5th Annual Party-at-the-Pier, Celebrating Our Maritime Community, at the new Shipbuilder's Square located at the foot of Lonsdale Avenue on Saturday & Sunday, July 16 & 17, 2011.
Voted one of the best musical festivals on the North Shore this year's event will be even bigger and better offering family-friendly entertainment and activities throughout the weekend. The festival takes place rain or shine!
Party-at-the-Pier will host numerous marine-themed activities and displays, along with entertainment on the Shipbuilder?s Square stage and adjacent piers. Sinfonia, Orchestra of the North Shore will kick off the festival on Saturday July 16th at 7:30pm with an evening concert. Bring along your lawn chair and sit back and listen to beautiful classical music under the direction of Maestro Clyde Mitchell.
On Sunday, July 17th there will be an action packed day of entertainment from 11 am - 4 pm for all ages to enjoy. Some of the lower mainland?s best musical talent is on board including: Ranj Singh and the Discriminators, the Kerplunks, Dinah D's Contraband Swingclub, the Sweetpea Swing Band and back by popular demand the Bollywood Jazz Dance Performers. Also watch out for strolling entertainment; face painters; visiting mascots, balloon creations, a bouncy castle, North Vancouver Museum & Archives interpretive tours and much, much more!
Visiting vessels at the Burrard Dry dock pier will include three Canadian Maritime Coastal Defense ships.
The Party-at-the-Pier could not be possible without the generous support of our major sponsors for the event which include: many of the North Shore?s major waterfront industries, the City of North Vancouver and the North Shore Outlook.
The Lower Lonsdale Business Association also organizes the annual Lower Lonsdale Fall Festival which takes place Sunday September 18, 2011 at the Shipyard and the annual Christmas Festival of Lights Celebration on Saturday December 3, 2011 also at the Shipyard.
