North Vancouver, B.C.: The BC Tourism Industry honoured Capilano Suspension Bridge Park's CLIFFWALK with the 2011 Vancouver Sun & Province Best Tourism Marketing Campaign Award. The BC Tourism Industry Awards, held on October 25, 2011 in Victoria, showcased the brightest and best in a variety of tourism categories.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park developed an integrated marketing campaign for the opening of CLIFFWALK featuring long and short-lead PR, online and social media, print, radio and out-of-home advertising that launched with the opening on June 3.
"We are honoured to be recognized for our marketing campaign for the launch of CLIFFWALK," said Nancy Stibbard, owner and CEO of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. "CLIFFWALK has been a huge success. Local residents and guests from all over the world are really enjoying our unique attraction."
The announcement comes just one month after Capilano Suspension Bridge Park won the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver Commercial Building Award for the construction of CLIFFWALK and a week after the CTC announced that CLIFFWALK was added into the Signature Experiences Collection.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park's CLIFFWALK is also a finalist for the Canadian Tourism Award for Innovation, being announced on November 24, 2011 in Ottawa.
