Summer is over, there’s a chill in the air, and things are about to get spooky! Fall has definitely arrived on the North Shore! 1. A spook-tacular time for kids
Whose ready for treats and crafts? Put on your costumes and head to the Lonsdale Quay Market for Halloween family festivities on October 31st. Activities include story time, trick or treating, kid’s crafts, face painting, and appearances from Belle (of Beauty and the Beast) and Captain America! As many of these activities are free it makes for a great Halloween family outing!

2. Haunt of Edgemont
Do you think you’re brave enough?! The Haunt of Edgemont is an outdoor haunt display located in Edgemont Village. Live actors, creepy crawlies, and terrifying sounds await those brave enough to venture inside. While not for the faint of heart, all are welcome inside…
Hours and admission: Mon-Fri 6.30pm – 9.30pm Sat-Sun 12pm-9.30pm. Donations to the Burn Fund are gladly accepted but not mandatory for entrance. Find out more about the Haunt of Edgemont.
3. Bone appétit
Temper Pastry is notorious throughout the North Shore for it’s delicious European-style pastries, cakes and chocolates. At Halloween they somehow manage to step up their game even further with delectable chocolate skulls and pumpkin patches. Make your Halloween party really special with a sweet treat from Temper!
Hours & admission: Temper Pastry is open every day 8am-5pm. Advance ordering for special products is recommended.
4. CARVED: Vancouver Circus School Halloween Show
The Vancouver Circus School Presents “Carved”: a spooky interactive circus performance at the Pipe Shop in Lower Lonsdale. On October 28 experience trick-or-treating, food carts, aerial silk and trampoline lessons, juggling, a bouncy castle, face painting, roving entertainment, scavenger hunt, much and more! There are multiple performances throughout the day but beware they get spookier as the day goes on!

5. Treat or treat?
Halloween wouldn’t be complete without trick or treating and it’s safe to say you’ll be getting lots of treats at Park Royal and Capilano Mall this Halloween. On October 31st you’ll be able to trick or treat at a number of retailers at both malls. Come dressed up and fill your bags!
6. Pumpkin spice and all things nice
Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week may now be over but you still have until November 1 to travel around the North Shore breweries and get stamps in your passport. Why not try some delicious seasonal brews at Bridge Brewing who are serving a pumpkin spice porter.
