If you are looking for the exhilaration of flying down the slopes on something other than skis or a snowboard, why not try tubing or tobogganing? Great fun for all ages.
Vancouver’s North Shore is home to three local mountains where you can try all kinds of winter activities including tubing, tobogganing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and outdoor ice skating.
Tubing in Vancouver
If you are looking to go tubing near Vancouver, you can go to Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver or Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver. Both tubing areas are accessible by car, and are best suited to people six years old & up. That includes the young and the young at heart!
All tubing participants must be 48″ or taller for Seymour Mountain and 42″ or taller for Cypress Mountain, and secure footwear with good winter tread is required.
Cypress Mountain Snow Tube Park (6+)
The Cypress Mountain Snow Tube Park has six chutes about 100 meters in length. There is a snow tube tow to pull you up the hill, so you can sit down and enjoy the ride.

Mt. Seymour Snow Tube Park (6+)
The Mt. Seymour Snow Tube Park is a great place to laugh and have fun with friends and family. Enjoy the thrill of sliding downhill on specially designed tubes, and take it easy on the ride up the in hill with the tube tow.

Tobogganing & Sliding in Vancouver
Sliding and tobogganing are permitted only in designated areas on Mt. Seymour and Cypress Mountain with a valid ticket.
Mt. Seymour Toboggan Park (All ages)
The Mt. Seymour Toboggan Park is a designated area where families can enjoy the fun of tobogganing, and playing in the snow. The Toboggan Park is open to all ages, with no height restrictions. You can bring your own toboggan (not inflatable) or buy a sliding mat – $8 for a small and $10 for a large including tax.

Cypress Mountain Sliding & Tobogganing
If your children are too small for the Cypress Mountain Tube Park, there is Sliding Area designed for children under the age of 6. The hill has a gentle incline, and is small enough for children to walk up and slide down on their own. If you are taking your family, one free chaperone ticket will be issued for each child entering the sliding area. Please bring your own sled with you (no inflatables).
