Cypress Mountain
Located on the beautiful North Shore, Cypress Mountain is Vancouver's largest local mountain. It is located just 30 min outside of the downtown Vancouver core and provides outdoor enthusiasts with a plentiful of activities including Skiing, Riding, Cross Country Skiing, Snowtubing, Snowshoeing and down hill biking. Considerably larger than its sister local mountains, Grouse Mountain & Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain provides Vancouver's only big mountain experience all year long!
Activities at Cypress Mountain
Known for the largest vertical drop and most extensive terrain in Vancouver's local mountains, Cypress Mountain is the ideal place to tackle adventure or learn a new sport. Cypress Mountain offers 52 downhill skiing and riding runs and 19 km of cross country trails for the experienced and an 'Easy Rider' beginner quad chair for those just learning. Drop-in and multi-day lessons are also available for all activities on the mountain. Their extremely knowledgeable and experienced staff will ensure a safe and fun time no matter what your skill level is. With a variety of Vancouver hotels close to Cypress Mountain, families and individuals alike can enjoy a quick get-a-way to winter paradise.
2010 Winter Olympics at Cypress Mountain
Cypress Mountain is being transformed into a world-class recreation mountain, with the addition of a new permanent day lodge, 40 hectares of new terrain, a new high-speed chairlift, parking upgrades, Terrain Park and much more. All this is in preparation to hold a variety of 2010 Vancouver Olympic events including:

- Snowboard Half pipe
- Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom
- Boardercoss
