Dundarave Village, West Vancouver
2400 Marine Drive, West Vancouver
Nestled between the mountains and the open ocean is the pretty seaside
village of Dundarave in West Vancouver. With its old-fashioned lamps,
beautifully tailored boulevard and hanging flower baskets, it is one of the
North Shore's most picturesque communities.
Visitors can wander through Dundarave's charming boutiques, pick up a homemade pastry and a latté from one of several coffee houses; or choose
some picnic fixings at the various delicatessens.
Then it's best to head to the waterfront, where a scenic beach and a
playground for the children await. Walk out to the end of the pier, which
marks the site of the original ferry boat landing, once used by loggers and
weekend adventurers.
Enjoy the prospect of Lions Gate Bridge on your left and the ships coming
into the Port of Vancouver from your right. The sound of the waves is sure to
lull you into contentment, no matter how frenzied your day.
This West Vancouver village located on Marine Drive boasts specialty shops and galleries and is a magnet for antique and fine arts lovers. A diverse range of casual eateries draws North Shore residents, Vancouverites and visitors too.
