Vancouver's North Shore
What To Do in North Vancouver

Lighthouse Park

Lighthouse Park is one of Vancouver's most beautiful areas and boasts the largest uncut rainforest in the lower mainland. The park is unique for the fact that it is Vancouver's last standing first-growth Douglas fir tree forest. It is the perfect location for enjoying crashing waves, dense vegetation and over six miles of scenic walking trails.

This natural paradise is an ideal example of west coast vegetation. The 75-hectare (185 acre) seaside park, in the depths of suburban West Vancouver, has been home to a lighthouse since 1874. The existing structure was built in 1912.

Getting There

Lighthouse Park is located off Marine Drive at the south end of Beacon Lane, West Vancouver. If you are coming from one of Vancouver's premium accommodations, turn south off Marine Drive onto Beacon lane and drive towards the parking lot.
