What To Do in North Vancouver

Lynn Canyon Park & Suspension Bridge

Lynn Canyon Park is a FREE self-guided adventure and a great place to learn about North Vancouver's eco-system. In the summer time it is the perfect place to go for a swim or walk or enjoy a picnic. Although the main attraction is the shaky suspension bridge, most people find the surrounding trails and wildlife extremely enjoyable.

Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge

A little more daring than its complement the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge offers a rustic and jiggling adventure. The wooden plank bridge was built in 1912 and is just wide enough for two people to pass each other. It is located 166 feet over the beautiful clear pools and rivers of Lynn Creek and is situated amongst a 616 acre rainforest.

Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre

The Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre has informative, interactive displays about the plants and animals of the temperate rainforest and environmental issues. You can watch nature videos on a large screen, with over 80 to choose from. Children can learn about nature and have fun in the Kid's Exploratorium. There is also a nature-themed giftshop.

Getting There

If you're driving from a Vancouver Hotel, take Highway 1 to the Lynn Valley Road exit and follow the road until you see the sign for the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre. Turn right and follow Peters Road to the entrance of the park.

If you are coming from Vancouver by bus, take the Seabus to Lonsdale Quay. Then catch the 229 bus, which will take you right by the park.
