Celebrate Canada Day by having loads of fun and eating amazing food at this free event hosted by the Rotary Club of Lions Gate! The festivities will take place at Waterfront Park from noon to 4:00 p.m. and will include an array of local performers, multicultural food, free cupcakes, and on-site entertainment ranging from balloon artists and a fire juggler to bouncy castles and a 24’ high climbing wall, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family!
Prior to the celebrations at Waterfront Park, North Vancouver also has a parade which takes place from 10 am until noon. The parade goes along 13th Street from Grand Boulevard before heading down 17th Street via Lonsdale Avenue to Mahon Park. It’s a small community-style parade, but lots of fun, especially for young children. Get down early for a pancake breakfast from 7:30am – 9.30am.
This Canadian frigate will be docked at the Pier this Canada Day and offering FREE public tours July 1 from 11am-5pm. Remember to wear appropriate footwear!
Dress up in our national colours and join us at John Lawson Park. Bring your own picnic or enjoy a selection from our food vendors while watching live entertainment on the Great Canadian Stage from 4.30pm-10.30pm. The big finale will be a 20 minute fireworks display.

Experience the sights and sounds of The Shipyards as they used to be, join Shipyard Pals Sal and Sam on an entertaining story-filled walk of North Vancouver’s historic Burrard Dry Docks. Free drop in tours at 1.30pm and 3pm.

A family-friendly Canada Day event at the market! Lonsdale Quay Market celebrates the special day with live music, kids activities, and at the end of the day you are in one of the best locations to watch the Canada Day fireworks!
Our neighbour over in the City of Vancouver has a pyrotechnic extravaganza happening in celebration of our nation’s birthday! The two fireworks barges are located in Coal Harbour, and Dundarave in West Vancouver making some of the best viewing locations the Centennial Seawalk between Ambleside and Dundarave, and also the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Fireworks start at 10.30pm come watch with us!
