Halloween Happenings on Vancouver’s North Shore 2020

October 10, 2020 |

It’s spooky season and we are feeling a chill in the air on the North Shore! Halloween is looking a little different this year, but there are still ways to get in the spirit while keeping socially distant.

1. Haunt of Edgemont

While this year you won’t be able to go into the haunted house at the Haunt of Edgemont in Edgemont Village, the exterior will still be decorated and collecting charitable donations.

Find out more about the Haunt of Edgemont.

2. Bone appétit

Temper Pastry is notorious throughout the North Shore for its delicious European-style pastries, cakes and chocolates. At Halloween, they somehow manage to step up their game even further with delectable chocolate skulls and pumpkin patches. Make your Halloween party really special with a sweet treat from Temper!

Advance ordering for special products is recommended.

3. Trick or Treat!

Lower Lonsdale Trick or Treat

Halloween wouldn’t be complete without trick or treating and there are plenty of opportunities to stock up on treats at independent businesses in Lower Lonsdale on October 31st. Stop by any retailers with the pumpkin sign in their window to trick or treat.

4. Head to the Market

Looking for a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween this year? Bring your bubble down to The Market for ‘spooky’ storytime, a fun photo booth and of course, treats! Lonsdale Quay Market is hosting a small, safe and super fun activation for families to come and celebrate Halloween.

This activation is pre-registration only. There are limited spaces available.

5. Gourdgantuan

Pumpkins don’t come much bigger than this! Normally Jeff Pelletier enters his massive pumpkins into competitions, but with that being put a stop to this year he has had a master carver transform his 923-pound pumpkin into a Xenomorph from the Alien movie franchise! The gourd will be outside his home on the 600 block of East Seventh Street until Halloween.

6. Halloween Full Moon Spooky Kayak Tour
