Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is a must-visit attraction on Vancouver’s North Shore. Kids will love the park’s Treetops Adventure, where they can cross seven suspension bridges attached to eight ancient Douglas Fir trees. After exploring the park, head to The Cabin for a soothing hot chocolate and their famous Beaver Balls.
For a fun-filled day with adorable animals, head to Maplewood Farm on Vancouver’s North Shore. Just a 20-minute drive from Downtown Vancouver, this 5-acre farm is home to sheep, donkey, rabbits, horses, goats, pigs, and other friendly farm animals the kids will love. The little ones can even feed the bunnies — just bring your own fresh veggies or fruit. (Carrots are always a hit!)
Vancouver’s North Shore is a cultural hub filled with galleries, public art, and educational experiences. On a fall excursion with the family, don’t miss a trip to The Polygon Gallery. On Saturdays, the Gallery hosts Kids First Saturdays, where families can unleash their creativity and make an in-house art project based on Gallery exhibitions. For a healthy dose of Canadian art, spend time at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art. They offer family days on Saturdays, and support art education for kids of B.C.
Want to ride a boat with the kids this fall? Vancouver’s SeaBus offers a fun, inexpensive way to cruise the ocean and admire the views. Just hop on at Vancouver’s Waterfront Station, grab a window seat, and watch the waves on the 12-minute journey to Lonsdale Quay.
If you’re looking to escape the rain this fall, head inside to Lonsdale Quay Market. This waterfront market is packed with over 60 locally owned businesses, including shops the kids will love.
