There are riches to behold! The map of Vancouver’s North Shore is dotted with fascinating cultural finds, hidden gems and secret stashes of knowledge. Gather your crew of swashbucklers and set off on these North Shore treasure hunt adventures.

 

The Quay to The Shipyards Scavenger Hunt

From now until March 30, go down to the waterside for an exciting treasure hunt through one of the North Shore’s most spectacular spots. You can download your list of clues and fun finds here, or pick up a copy at Main Street Honey Shoppe or Phoenix Books & Toys. When you’re finished, a sweet treat will be your reward, plus you’ll be entered to win an amazing Family Prize Pack valued over $500! 

 

Easter Scavenger Hunt at Grouse Mountain

Part of the Easter on the Peak celebration, the Ski & Ride Scavenger Hunt will get you swishing down the slopes in search of egg signs posted on blue and green runs. You’ll get a fantastic day of Spring skiing built right in, plus a chance to win amazing prizes!

 

Shipyard Pals Scavenger Hunt

Learn like a Local as you explore the North Shore’s shipbuilding heritage through the Museum of North Vancouver’s Geocaching Adventure Lab. Download the app to your phone and follow the clues to find Sam and Sal, The Shipyard Workers, at key locations around the historic Shipyards, to solve puzzles and complete your adventure.

Culture Compass Treasure Hunts

The following scavenger hunts are available any time as part of the Culture Compass Treasure Hunts from North Van Arts. Choose a themed hunt and print out the cluesheet to find letters all around the North Shore. Once done, unscramble the letters to discover the code word that completes your search.

This scavenger hunt invites you to take a couple days and explore the North Shore which is part of the larger Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territory by bike, transit or car, and foot. Clues will lead you to stories from the thousands of years of the Coast Salish people’s stewardship of this land and their deep connections to this place.

 

Forest Friends Treasure Hunt

It’s easy to Love it Like a Local when the North Shore is adorned with so many urban forests and trails to explore. Search for clues along a particularly beautiful one in Mahon Park in the centre of the city of North Vancouver featuring a rolling creek and a number of bridges.

 

Where Land Meets Sea (Along the Spirit Trail) Treasure Hunt

Take to the Spirit Trail where Stories of the North Shore’s past, present and future of industry, transportation, leisure, art and First Nations culture are revealed through clues all along the scenic waterfront path.

Salmon have an important role in the North Shore’s ecosystem and this trail of clues will have you learning all about it. Presented by the Coho Society of the North Shore, You’ll follow the journey of the salmon from stream to pond to ocean.
